Jesse van der Kolk (b. 1990) is a film director, writer and producer based in Amsterdam with a second base in Los Angeles. His work encompasses fiction, documentary and commercial projects.
He graduated from the University of Amsterdam with an MA in Media Studies, specializing in scriptwriting and editing.
His debut film Out of Focus premiered at the Nederlands Film Festival in the debut competition in 2019.
In 2022 he was selected to participate in Playlab’s Apichatpong Weerasethakul Lab: Filming in the Amazon, and in 2023 he was selected for Torino Film Lab Next and the Holland Film Meeting at the Nederlands Film Festival with in-development feature film project Another Green World.
He is co-founder of film production company No End Cinema in Amsterdam.
